Primers ensure best adhesion
and are highly recommended for overall exterior Monstaliner™ projects.
On bare metal, fiberglass or questionable OEM painted surfaces we
recommend MAGNAPOXY™ 2 component epoxy primer. Over existing OEM paint
in good condition or previously painted fiberglass, Universal
non-sanding primer is an excellent choice. All surfaces should be
thoroughly DA sanded using 180 - 220 grit paper before applying primers.
Both MAGNAPOXY™ and Universal
Primer can be sprayed or rolled and 1 quart covers approximately 80 to
90 square feet.
* A lacquer
thinner spot test is highly recommended over spray painted
surfaces
before applying either of these primers.

MAGNET
UNIVERSAL PRIMER (UP) is an easy-to-use high solids
primer-sealer formulated especially for automotive,

holdout and uniformity. It contains less than 3.5
lbs./gal. VOC and exhibits excellent corrosion
resistance without the use of lead or chromates. UP
dries to a smooth surface; no sanding is required.
